Altronix of Brooklyn, New York, has launched the Entrada series of Network Access Power Controllers. The first product in the series is Entrada-16, a versatile access power controller with Web browser interface. It offers IP connectivity for versatile programming operations from any location with Internet access. It features password-protected local or remote IP connectivity which facilitates programming and allows for viewing system status. An integral touch pad enables manual programming and a backlit LCD displays system status. E-mail notification reports specific system conditions that may require service. The unit provides power for a variety of access control hardware devices including magnetic locks, electric strikes, and magnetic door holders. It includes two 12-VDC auxiliary power outputs for card readers, proximity readers, REX PIRs, and more. It also has a built-in charger for sealed lead-acid or gel-type batteries, and battery backup is selectable by output. The unit is housed in a compact 19-inch rack-mount chassis.
