Honeywell of Louisville, Kentucky, has released new video analytics technology in Active Alert v4.7. The system can automatically detect, analyze, track, and classify the behavior of people, objects, and vehicles as they move through a scene, alerting operators to suspicious activities. New features include foreign language (French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and German) support and a customizable centralized alarm management system. Multiple analytics channels work across multiple critical infrastructure sites. The new version earned Imagery Library for Intelligent Detection Systems (i-LIDS) accreditation from the United Kingdom, certifying it for use as a primary detection system for sterile zones in perimeter and critical infrastructure applications. The “primary” classification means it can be used as a standalone system without secondary support.
