Delta Scientific of Palmdale, California, now offers more than 50 hydraulic barriers, barricades, bollards, and crash gates that can be run manually or on FDA-approved vegetable oils. The units typically remain in the upright position to protect the facility from trespassers and errant drivers. To let authorized vehicle through, the barriers are lowered. The hydraulic systems use a patented low-duty cycle design that reduces the motor size by threefold or more. The manually operated products offer zero carbon footprint, simplicity, low maintenance, and quiet operation.
