The Fido ClearPoint Bottled Liquid Screener is designed to rapidly screen liquids in various containers without opening them. A new addition to the Fido explosives detector line from ICx Technologies, Inc., of Arlington, Virginia, the screener fits seamlessly into current processes at airport security checkpoints. The desktop unit improves operator efficiency and reduces operator error. Its proprietary algorithms minimize the impact of fluorescence and noise to enable Raman Spectroscopy to identify common powders, narcotics, explosives, toxic industrial chemicals, and chemical warfare agents. The open bottle support plate automatically accepts a wide variety of bottle sizes, shapes, and labeling challenges.
