A new 125-watt amplifier from Silent Knight of Northford, Connecticut, is designed to simplify fire alarm voice evacuation system design. The VIP-125 amplifier can be mounted up to 6,000 feet away from compatible Silent Knight VIP Series fire alarm control panels for convenient installation and reduced speaker circuit wire runs. The amplifier is ideal for campuses and large buildings. The unit comes with a built-in power supply, battery-backup connection, and four speaker circuits. An optional circuit splitter card is available to increase each unit’s speaker circuits to eight. As many as eight amplifiers can be distributed in convenient locations across extensive installations. Each amplifier is supervised by the fire alarm control panel and requires only six wires for complete integration.
