New technology from PENTAX Imaging Company of Golden, Colorado, overcomes the challenges of fog, snow, and haze in outdoor live security surveillance. PENTAX Atmospheric Interference Reduction (PAIR) technology offers image processing circuitry installed directly within the lens housings, eliminating the need for separate fog cancellation devices that require multiple cameras. The lenses provide real-time color image reproduction that reduces the graininess caused by particles such as snow, smoke, sand, fog, and rain. They also offer automatic focus, RS-232 C protocol, edge and contrast enhancement, and quick switching between preprocess and postprocess images. The lenses are compatible with any camera.
