Genetec of Montreal, Canada, has released the latest version of its unified security platform. Security Center 4.0 unifies the company’s Omnicast IP video surveillance and Synergis IP access control systems with its AutoVu IP license plate recognition (LPR) system.


Genetec of Montreal, Canada, has released the latest version of its unified security platform. Security Center 4.0 unifies the company’s Omnicast IP video surveillance and Synergis IP access control systems with its AutoVu IP license plate recognition (LPR) system. Now LPR users can access the Security Desk intuitive client application, as well as Security Center’s enterprise-level features. Users can centralize monitoring, reporting, and data mining for all their fixed LPR installations. The IP access control module, Synergis, has been augmented with a new cardholder management task, an enhanced visitor management interface, and alarm monitoring and handling capabilities. Visual Tracking allows operators to intuitively switch from a single camera view to one or more adjacent cameras with a mouse click.
