Dallas-based TerraHawk, LLC, has introduced the Mobile Utility Surveillance Tower or M.U.S.T., which uses a vehicle-based platform to deploy an elevated tower and climate-controlled capsule to an eye-level height of over 25 feet. The vehicle can be fully deployed by one person at any location in less than two minutes without leaving the vehicle. The system is equipped with a four-point, fully automatic, self-leveling hydraulic stabilization system. An onboard programmable logic controller operates the scissor mechanism, the electrohydraulic stabilizers, and a series of safety and security features. The capsule provides a manned working platform for a variety of surveil­lance devices such as cameras, computers, and communications equipment. It accommodates two people.
