FLIR Systems, Inc., of Portland, Oregon, has released a perimeter alert system for simultaneous threat detection and assessment. The FLIR Thermal Fence combines thermal security cameras and the FLIR Sensors Manager control and management software. It integrates and displays the status and feedback from all peri­meter security sensors on one display, giving security professionals instant, automated threat detection and visual threat assessment capabilities. In addition, the system’s integrated geo-reference mapping function features the company’s slew-to-cue function, which commands the pan-tilt IP thermal cameras to point at the precise coordinates of any alarm generated by any sensor on the network.
