IndigoVision of Edinburgh, Scotland, has introduced a new retail staff information system that works with the company’s IP video surveillance system. Shop Alert is an integration module that can connect access control, intruder detection, building management, and electronic point-of-sale systems. The Tenant Alert Pad offers two-way communication between a shopping center’s security staff and retailers, which can be initiated through messages, alerts, and alarms. These communications can be bookmarked alongside recorded video, allowing operators to quickly retrieve footage from any camera associated with an incident. Incidents such as forced door alarms in one system can trigger responses in another, such as repositioning a camera. Data on retail sales can be overlaid on a live video display so operators can view the camera feed and transaction simultaneously.
