The SMD601 Multi-Zone Metal Detector from CEIA USA of Twinsburg, Ohio, complies with all required sections of the National Institute of Justice Standard 0601.02 that establishes requirements of sensitivity, discrimination, and immunity for law enforcement and correctional facilities. It has exceptional immunity to environmental interference, so it can be easily installed and operated in any location. The three levels of security specified by the standard (small, medium, and large objects) are preloaded into the unit and can be selected directly by the user. Antivandalism construction prevents abuse and unwanted programming. A full-height light bar displays the vertical location of the detected metal masses in transit, providing rapid results. The technology is harmless, yet it can detect items concealed inside the human body.
