The iBR9000 is a new iButton reader designed and manufactured by Videx of Corvallis, Oregon. Made in the United States, the small, lightweight reader can be used in any application that requires tracking of who visited a checkpoint and when. The compact data collector measures less than 3 inches in length and weighs less than two ounces; it easily fits on a key ring or in a pocket. It has a high-impact fiberglass-reinforced nylon case and stainless steel read head for withstanding harsh operating conditions. It provides an audible tone and a flashing light when it successfully reads an iButton. It stores at least 9,000 reads before data must be downloaded. It is powered by a 3-volt lithium battery that lasts up to 75,000 reads.
