The SR-Series of thermal imaging cameras from FLIR Systems of Portland, Oregon, are built around reliable uncooled infrared sensors. They use a composite video output that accommodates legacy network installations. Cameras include the company’s advanced image-processing technology, delivering excellent image contrast, regardless of scene dynamics. The cameras can detect intruders at ranges of more than one mile. Based on microbolometer infrared sensor technology, they create images from the thermal energy given off by objects and people. No active illumination is required. Cameras are available with focal lengths of 19, 35, 50, and 100 millimeters. They can be installed in fixed positions or on pan-tilt devices. All-weather, corrosion-resistant housings protect the imager for long product life.
