Axis Communications of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, has launched the AXIS 215 PTZ network camera, a pan-tilt-zoom camera that is shaped like a dome camera and provides 360-degree panning with the use of an auto-flip feature. It offers automatic day and night functionality, 12X optical zoom, 4X digital zoom, and autofocus. 


Axis Communications of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, has launched the AXIS 215 PTZ network camera, a pan-tilt-zoom camera that is shaped like a dome camera and provides 360-degree panning with the use of an auto-flip feature. It offers automatic day and night functionality, 12X optical zoom, 4X digital zoom, and autofocus. Simultaneous MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG video streams at resolutions up to 4 CIF allow for optimized quality and bandwidth. Other features include pre- and post-alarm image buffering, video motion detection, and two-way audio support. The camera supports audio alarms, making it possible to detect intruders even in the dark. Network security features include multilevel password protection, IP address filtering, and HTTPS encryption.
