Three new infrared lenses have been introduced by CBC (America) Corporation of Commack, New York. Computar Day/Night IR lenses are engineered to work with IR illuminators and true day/night cameras that use retractable IR cut filters. They eliminate the focus shift that often occurs with conventional lenses at night. The 8.5- to 40-millimeter IR varifocal lens features an extended telephoto range while maintaining a maximum aperture of F1.3. The all-purpose 2.8- to 12-millimeter IR varifocal lens provides the proper field of view for most surveillance applications. The 2.9- to 8.2-millimeter IR varifocal lens features aspherical optics to provide a fast F1.0 maximum aperture for best low-light performance. All three lenses are available in manual iris, DC auto-iris, or video auto-iris. All are equipped with locking setscrews for zoom and focus controls.
