Physical Security System/Access Control Performance Standards

Does anybody have, or know of any guidelines or performance standards to measure the effectiveness of physical security/access control systems?  The items that come to mind are things like:

  • nuisance/false alarm rates
  • actual # of alarms
  • number of supervisory errors
  • malfunction devices
  • alarm response time
  • cost to maintain systems
  • etc.,etc.

Any help in this area will be appricated.
