IndigoVision of Edison, New Jersey, has introduced a new feature to its software that escalates alerts based on proximity to the zone of an event. For example, when an intruder breaches a perimeter, the alert escalates into neighboring zones. As the intruder proceeds through the facility, the developing situation is apparent through the ripple of zone escalation across a site. Armed buffer zones show on the mapping interface, giving a clear picture of the developing threat. The new capability is available in release 3 of the SMS4 management software and can be accessed through IndigoVision’s Software Upgrade Program.
