- Vicon Industries Inc. has expanded its Roughneck line of impact-resistant camera domes with two new models. The new mod­els—one analog and one IP-based—feature digital noise reduction so that they can perform in light levels as low as 0.3 lux.

- Bosch Security Systems, Inc., of Fairport, New York, has released new underwater and public address models of the MIC Ruggedized PTZ Camera.

IP Cameras

- New high-definition IP cameras from IndigoVision of Edinburgh, Scotland, complement the company’s 8000 and 9000 range of True IP Cameras and are designed to work with its integrated IP video solution.

MegaPixel Camera

- JVC Professional Products Company has expanded its V.Networks line of IP-based video products with the new VN-X35U IP security camera. The new 1.3-megapixel camera offers real-time image scaling from VGA to QUAD VGA without affecting the viewing angle.

Thermal Camera

- The Pelco TI2500 fixed thermal imaging camera from Pelco of Clovis, California, detects changes in temperature to instantly spot leaks, ruptures, hotspots, animals, and intruders.

Panoramic Lens

- The IMV1-1/3 panomorph lens from ImmerVision of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a panoramic imaging lens that can be added to existing standard analog and IP video surveillance systems, enabling surveillance of an entire area with 360-degree coverage.

PTZ Camera Domes

- GE Security, Inc., of Bradenton, Florida, has enhanced its CyberDome II pan-tilt-zoom camera line. Customers can choose from five camera modules that include day-or-night and wide-dynamic-range functionality for high-quality video in changing light.

Mini Domes

- The Spectra Mini IP series offers high-performance, discrete network dome positioning systems. New from Pelco of Clovis, California, each camera provides the functionality of a full-size Spectra IP camera in a cost-effective device that fits in the palm of the hand.

Energy-Saving Dome

- The ACUIX ES is a new energy-efficient pan-tilt-zoom camera from Honeywell of Louisville, Kentucky. Easy to install and operate, the camera runs on less than 15 watts of power compared to 29 watts consumed by similar models.
